Cisco Live London 2011 – Post Game Report

The team is back from Cisco Live London and what a great week
we’ve had! The launch of our EMEA office in 2010 has been followed by profitable operations and great success in recruiting partners in the region, leading us to increasing our EMEA marketing efforts. At our inaugural EMEA Partner Summit, we were delighted to host our partners on the first day of Cisco Live, and then have our partners assist us on the tradeshow floor at London’s ExCel Center.
Ahead of the show itself, we announced the latest version of our award winning performance management solution. And Cisco Live proved to be the perfect showcase for its enhanced NetFlow capabilities, VMware monitoring, and application server monitoring. Our EMEA experts were on hand at our eye-catching stand (pictured), to discuss attendees network performance and application delivery questions and demonstrate the ease of use of SevOne in proactively managing the performance and availability of Cisco network and application infrastructures.
A hot topic at Cisco Live was Flexible NetFlow and its use in providing application visibility and monitoring converged enterprise and service provider networks, with VoIP and video. Following the success of our joint webinar with Cisco and EMA on why NetFlow has become a must-have for network managers in 2011, Cisco Live gave us the perfect platform to support this claim and provide real-life, real-time examples. NetFlow provides the ability to deliver the definitive service and application performance visibility network managers need in 2011 and beyond, as their networks get increasingly complex, virtualized and mobile.
Our CTO, Vess Bakalov, discussed this at his presentation,
Maximize the Power of Flexible NetFlow, to a standing room only crowd. This was followed by deep discussions at our stand, including with the Cisco IOS NetFlow product managers and architects like Jean-Charles Griviaud (who was the Cisco presenter at our joint webinar) and Bertrand Duvivier. And even our competitors came and complimented us on our market leading NetFlow capabilities for Medianet and MPLS networks, and NBAR and NAM (Network Analysis Module) based application monitoring.
Over the course of the three day event we had lots of productive conversations with network managers, CIOs, resellers, and service providers all registering similar concerns like “The demand on our networks continues to increase as we consolidate our operations and add more services. Is there anything better than what we have today for providing real-time visibility and helping us proactively identify and prevent performance problems?” And for everyone we quickly qualified their legacy tool problems and demonstrated how SevOne’s industry leading performance management solution with SNMP to NetFlow integration and advanced Flexible NetFlow capabilities could address their pain points.
It was great to cross the pond for Cisco Live, and it won’t be long before we’re over again for the TM Forum Management World 2011 taking place in Dublin in May. However, if you can’t make it in person to an event, you can visit us anytime at our virtual booth at Cisco Live Virtual. Our friendly and expert US and EMEA teams and partners welcome the opportunity to answer your questions and share examples of how we help customers solve their most critical performance problems in real-time and use our proactive alerts to avoid pending performance problems.
Please don’t hesitate to drop us a line at info@sevone.com. If you attended Cisco Live, we'd love to get your feedback.
