Warning - this is a bragging blog post but we earned the right!

Inc. Magazine released its annual Inc 500/5000 list and are proud to announce we made it. So now what? Well other than buying 10 or so magazines as soon as it hit newstands, we announced in a press release that we ranked number 315 on this exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

This is my first blog post ever and I'm sure I have exactly one reader (Hi Mom!). I recently joined SevOne as Vice President of Product Engineering, and I thought for my first post it would be appropriate to share a little about myself and my vision for the team. 

2011 continues to be a successful year for SevOne. We’ve grown as a company, have many new customers and also won numerous awards. And now, we have another accolade to add to the list. CRN selected SevOne as a 2011 Emerging Technology Vendor (and lucky for us we're still here to celebrate after the East Coast earthquake!).

Users get frustrated when their favorite smart phone app fails to load or takes so long they forget which app they are waiting on. Does this look familiar?

Pacific Crest held their 13^th Annual Global Technology Leadership Forum in Vail, CO the first week of August, and I had the opportunity to participate on a panel entitled “Better Networks with No New Base Stations.”  Perhaps an alternative title could have been “Strategies for Wireless Carriers to Survive the Mobile Video Onslaught” since that was the topic of the panel. The panel was hosted by James E. Faucette, who is Sr. Research Analyst, Wireless Enabling Technologies for Pacific Crest Securities, and besides myself, his panelists included:

Who knows, you may even have stopped by our booth at The Cable Show and at Cisco Live 2011 where our ‘speed at scale’ message was front and center.

We are very pleased to report that for the 1H2011, we maintained our growth and momentum, and increased our revenue by almost 100% from 1H2010. It's also a good thing we relocated our headquarters last year since we also increased our employee headcount by 75 percent year over year and brought on a new engineering executive to lead the expansion of our development team (stay tuned for another blog post on this topic).
