Earlier this month Holonomix and SevOne were joined by key customers and prospects at the Tower of London for a breakfast briefing on the importance of modern application-aware Network Performance Management systems to users in the financial services sector.

SevOne made its first appearance at TM Forum Management World Americas in Orlando (see booth picture below), and we were pleased with the corporate exposure, the conversations with prospects, partners and existing customers, and the opportunity to pitch the press and analysts at the event. In fact we were pleasantly surprised by the number of telcos or communication service providers (CSPs) and cable companies at the conference.
Fusion- io recently published a case study on SevOne entitled ‘SevOne Maintains Enterprise Networks with Fusion-io.’ It outlined SevOne’s challenges when needing to be able to calculate and monitor billions of performance baseline points a day, and how after testing additional RAM and other SSDs, we decided the Fusion-io ioDrive would be the best solution for our customers.
Well SevOne has moved again! Having been with the company for over three years now and having moved our offices to new and larger facilities each of the past three years, you would think I would be getting better at predicting how these events would go. There are going to be scheduling issues that arise but you never know which one will bite you. This time it was the CRAC (computer room air conditioner) that complicated our move to the new location.
SevOne is making its first appearance at TM Forum Management World Americas in Orlando. Joining TM Forum and exhibiting at this show was an easy decision for us, given our growing momentum with service provider partners like ACS (a Xerox Company) and CSC and cable and telecom customers like Comcast and Cincinnati Bell; and the new opportunity presented by the adoption of LTE (Long Term Evolution), IMS (IP Multimedia Systems), and other 4G technologies.

In a twist of words here, Thomson Reuters and other SevOne financial services customers like Knight Capital use SevOne “High Frequency Polling” for monitoring their High Frequency Trading (HFT) infrastructure. High frequency trader firms compete on a basis of speed and low latency with other high frequency traders, so it is vital for them to proactively monitor their network infrastructure to ensure that service levels are being met, and to also provde best execution.
